The food is soooo good, chips, salsa, guacamole amazing. Birria tacos amazing, consume, amazing!!! Prices awesome, right by the water, music and band, awesome. 10/10 recommend!

Went to the other location on our last trip through, decided to make our way to this location to have lunch with friends, definitely did not disappoint and food was just as amazing. Authentic flavours that are hard to find in Canada. Highly recommend, had great service and the treats we brought for the road were amazing as well! The decor and atmosphere is welcoming and lovely as well.

***Excellent food*** Chicken tinga was awesome, but our first visit; the kitchen was sold out of Chicken Tinga. It was the Sunday of the Barrie Air show, so busier than normal. The staff were nice & presentable; the restaurant was clean, with lots of staff. ***2 levels, plus an outdoor dining area. We ate outside the first time there & our table was level due to the chair proped under it The second time that we ate at this location, we sat next to the bar located inside. It was a great experience both times! ***The food is authentic Mexican with a liquor, wine & beer***

The food was absolutely amazing. Best quality and quantity I've seen and eaten in years!!! Flavours were outstanding. Authentic, just the right amount of spice. Great beers..great service. The only thing I didn't enjoy was HOW LOUD THE LIVE MUSIC WAS.. it was great..but just a little too aggressive for that early in the evening. Would be more suitable for 9pm and after.. lol. But all around really really REALLY good!!

Have been there twice. Portions are really great compared to the price. I loved the shrimp and chicken skewer grilled. Staff are so welcoming and the atmosphere, music and colours make the restaurant so vibrant.

The Mexican House in Downtown Barrie is an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with vibrant decor and a warm atmosphere. The food is bursting with authentic Mexican flavors, from their fresh guacamole to the perfectly seasoned tacos. Every dish feels homemade with love, and the portions are generous. The staff are super friendly and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. Came here Saturday for a quick munch. Service was phenomenal as usual. Love the vibes here; always so lively. Had a couple of pupusas, and my wife tried rice with chicken, which also came with a salad. Youth had tacos! And baby girl had chicken fingers and guacamole.
